Preparation of a visionary strategy for the development of the green infrastructure network throughout the Haven Gateway sub-region, including the development of robust, evidence-based green infrastructure standards.
The Haven Gateway Green Infrastructure Strategy assessed the interplay of the five main components of green infrastructure: * physical resources and natural systems, * ecological assets, * landscape character, * historical and cultural assets, * access networks and recreational facilities.
The Strategy established a holistic and co-ordinated spatial framework for the delivery of high quality multi-functional green infrastructure over the next 20 to 25 years, complementing and supporting planned housing and employment growth.
