Stoll Square, Cricklewood

A mixed-use residential scheme, providing 238 new homes through the transformation of an existing ‘big box’ retail site in Cricklewood, London, while restoring the site’s relationship with the high street (Cricklewood Broadway). Our masterplan and landscape and public realm strategy encouraged links between the site and local green spaces to create connected, liveable streets and spaces.

The GLA’s Urban Greening Factor target score was easily achieved by incorporating a range of sustainable ‘greening’ options including permeable paving, rain gardens, biosolar, extensive and intensive green roof planting as well as over 100 new trees across the development. The scheme included multiple roof and courtyard gardens, as well as the creation of a home zone style ‘Park Street’ that connects a new open space to the surrounding residential street. With rain gardens, street trees, planting, seating and incidental play items, the new housing will face onto the new Park Street to create a neighbourhood space for play and amenity.
