New build store within an old quarry and former carpet factory site, situated on edge of Sudbury. Whilst providing a well contained site, it had a number of constraints that required careful design and consultation, including an area of local biodiversity value, the presence of Slow Worms, Common Lizards and Sulphur Clover, close proximity to the River Stour and the local designation of Special Landscape Value, TPOs and overlooked by a number of residential properties. The scheme involved providing a phase 1 habitat survey, protected species survey, ecological mitigation strategy, management plan, tree survey and arboricultural implications assessment, landscape and visual assessment, implementing the ecological mitigation strategy and design of soft landscape proposals. The project also involved TLP being involved in consultation with the Wildlife Trust, local planning authority, Town Council, local residents and attendance at a public exhibition.
