Site analysis and masterplanning exercise as part of initial appointment with MACE involved to inform the Gateway A feasibility report for four schools proposed under Building Schools for the Future programme and the preparation of an outline planning application for two pathfinder schools.
Subsequently, the practice was invited to join the Costain team in the preparation of a successful bid involving two large sample secondary schools. This included negotiation with planning officers prior to a detailed planning application. Five further schools were commissioned to detail design and a planning application for an innovative all-through school received a rating of Excellent from CABE for landscape and outdoor space.
