Feasibility study and design framework for the combined redevelopment of Fordham Park and the neighbouring Deptford Green School, followed by public consultation and detailed design, and preparation of production information, tender and construction monitoring. The park was completed successfully in February 2011, with an overall construction budget of £1.8 million. As lead consultant, the practice managed the implementation of the project including all consultants and specialist providers. Collaboration with local school children and students from Goldsmiths College, local artists, a sculptor and a specialist lighting designer, all played a key role in the project’s success. The project was selected as one of London’s ‘Mayor’s Great Spaces’, and was recently been Highly Commended in the 2012 Landscape Institute Awards.
