This study involved a visual appraisal of the Colne Valley before the method of tidal defence was chosen. Assessment and modification of the initial design proposals followed. The Landscape Partnership continued to provide design advice for all aspects of the scheme, prepared hard and soft details for external areas and carried out site inspections.
