The Landscape Partnership was commissioned to undertake Seascape, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (SLVIAs) for the Alpha and Bravo offshore wind farms (revised designs) to assist Seagreen Wind Energy Ltd with preparing a Section 36 consent application to Marine Scotland.
The two offshore wind farms will comprise up to 70 turbines each with a maximum of 120 turbines across the two developments. Located approximately 27km off the Firths of Forth and Tay and covering an area of approximately 391m2, the turbines will have a maximum 280m blade tip height (above LAT). The total generating capacity for each project has been increased from 525MW to 750MW.
The assessment included sensitive cumulative issues in relation to the proposed nearer-shore Inch Cape and Neart na Gaoithe offshore developments.
