Our market sector lead has extensive experience in undertaking feasibility and design studies to assist developers with identifying the preferred and most acceptable locations for offshore wind farm sites from a seascape, landscape and visual impact perspective. This can be key where development is proposed within closer proximity to shore.
Work was undertaken to assist in early stage project development for the first proposed offshore wind farm to be located within the Isle of Man’s Territorial Waters. Site investigation and the creative preparation of wireline models and Zone of Theoretical Visibility (ZTVs) plans for particularly sensitive receptors was integral to the process.
Similar work was undertaken for Vattenfall in the context of extensions to existing offshore wind farms.
