Green Infrastructure Strategy for the Cambridge Sub-Region
A visionary strategy for the development of the green infrastructure network throughout the Cambridge subregion, which includes Cambridge and five market towns. Environmental data was collated from over 40 organisations and GIS used to analyse potential for new green infrastructure projects and initiatives.
Key themes were landscape, biodiversity, access and the integration of new development, and advice was provided on delivery mechanisms and landscape management of the enhanced assets. The Strategy forms part of the Quality of Life initiative that also includes arts, culture and recreation studies.
Landscape Institute Strategic Landscape Planning Award: Highly Commended.
