The Landscape Partnership, in conjunction with architects and engineers, prepared a masterplan for areas north of the Olympic Park to address issues of depravation and reconnect the diverse communities around Stratford City. The masterplan identified opportunities offered by the investment associated with the 2012 Olympics that would act as a catalyst to their regeneration.
strong relationship between these northern ‘fringe’ neighbourhoods, the new Olympic Park, the new ‘legacy neighbourhoods’ created within it and the economic opportunities afforded by Stratford City, was considered essential to enable wider regeneration to take place. The masterplan provides a framework for future development of the area to ensure successful regeneration.
