A mixed-use development of 750 homes, employment areas, hospice, nursing home, open space, sports pitches and SuDS on a strategic site to the edge of Canterbury. The site was promoted through the emerging Local Plan and then gained outline planning permission. Involvement with the subsequent place shaping consultation work led by The Princes Foundation.
Appointed included provision of landscape architecture, arboriculture and ecology consultancy services, and . Input into the EIA, DAS, detailed open space strategies, submission of reserved matters, clearance of landscape management and ecology conditions and implementation of strategic areas of open space including sports pitches, allotments and play areas. Implementation has involved relocating protected species and creating extensive areas of new woodland, close to a SSSI.
