Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) require a particular expertise and knowledge. Our team has experience of supporting large offshore wind NSIP projects through the Planning Inspectorate’s examination process.
Our market leader has been engaged in the offshore wind sector for 20 years, undertaking feasibility studies, site optioneering, Zone Appraisal and Planning (ZAP) studies; Preliminary Environmental Information (PEIs), Seascape, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (SLVIAs) and appearing as an expert landscape witness at examination for offshore wind energy developments. They have also supported Scottish offshore wind farm projects through the Marine Scotland Section 36 consenting process and was the SLVIA specialist responsible for all relevant pre and post consent actions for the Beatrice and Aberdeen Bay offshore wind farms.
