The consenting of onshore infrastructure, substations and grid connections is an integral component of connecting new offshore wind farms into the National Grid.
The Landscape Partnership’s team has significant experience in all elements of onshore infrastructure works from contributing to site selection, feasibility studies and undertaking Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs) for the cable landfall site, grid connection routes and onshore substation.
We have also been involved in supporting developments through the appeals process and, once consent has been secured, taking forward the proposed landscape mitigation/enhancement plans to detailed design and condition discharge.
