Development of a Green Infrastructure Plan for Milton Keynes Borough, particularly the rural areas of the authority, in order to ensure a strategic network of open spaces and access links was provided for the existing and future residents of the town. The plan identifies existing assets to be retained and enhanced, as well as future projects to address deficits in provision and enhance access to and enjoyment of a wide variety of greenspaces. The strategy seeks to ensure continuity with surrounding Green Infrastructure Strategies and involved consultation with surrounding local authorities as well as members of the public and the steering group, including Milton Keynes Council, Milton Keynes Parks Trust and the Forest of Marston Vale.
