East of England Renewable and Low Carbon Energy Capacity Study
Renewable and Low Carbon Energy Capacity for the eastern region, using a nation-wide Department for Energy and Climate Change methodology. Project included collation and bespoke analysis of the DECC data at a local authority level and then providing each authority with an Energy Opportunities Plan and robust technical data which could be used as an evidence base in local level planning policy formulation and thereafter in the delivery and dissemination of renewable and low carbon energy developments across the region.
The study objectives were to: * Assess the regional potential for providing renewable energy to contribute to DECC’s national statistics. * Establish the opportunities for the delivery of renewable and low carbon energy at a local level. * Establish the potential for renewable and low carbon energy generation at a local level.
