Redevelopment of an industrial site to create a college specialising in engineering and construction. A robust concept was developed, in keeping with the specialisms and character of the local context and responding to a challenging budget.
The landscape layout takes advantage of the ‘borrowed landscape’ of the adjoining park and provides a flexible approach to the use of space, with an activity circuit surrounding central MUGA facilities, an outdoor classroom in the form of a London Underground train and other specialist equipment showcasing the engineering specialisms.
