Bridge House Meadows, Lewisham

The East London Line Southern Extension re-used the route of a former railway line that had become a green link, connecting odd areas of open space and residential areas since the old tracks were lifted.

Bridge House Meadows was an area of poor quality opens space that could have become severed by the new rail link from some of the communities it served.

A refurbishment proposal was drawn up to provide a scheme that was acceptable to both Transport for London and the London Borough of Lewisham. Development of the design involved liaison with planning officers and preparation of information to discharge landscape related planning conditions. Work continued with the development of planning information for construction purposes and advice to the Contractor team.
